Acceptable Use Policy

Rules governing acceptable use of the Blue platform and services.

Last updated: April 18, 2026

1. Purpose & Scope

Blue is a cloud-based process management platform. The Service is provided for the purpose of creating, managing, and scaling business processes.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all users of the Service, all plan tiers (including lifetime deals and free trials), and all content stored on or transmitted through the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.

This AUP is incorporated into and governed by Blue’s Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings ascribed to them in the Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict between this AUP and the Terms of Service on matters of acceptable use, this AUP shall prevail. For all other matters, the document hierarchy set forth in Section 20 of the Terms of Service shall apply.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, store, transmit, share, or otherwise make available through the Service any content that:

  • Constitutes pirated software, motion pictures, sound recordings, literary works, or other copyrighted material obtained or distributed without authorization from the rights holder;
  • Is illegal under applicable United States federal or state law;
  • Is pornographic, obscene, or sexually explicit in nature;
  • Constitutes child sexual abuse material (“CSAM”) or any content that sexually exploits or depicts minors — such content will be reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement authorities immediately upon discovery, and the associated account will be terminated without notice;
  • Contains malware, viruses, Trojan horses, ransomware, spyware, adware, or any other malicious or harmful code;
  • Infringes the copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights of any third party;
  • Is defamatory, knowingly false, or materially misleading with respect to any person or entity; or
  • Promotes, incites, or facilitates discrimination, violence, or harm against any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.

3. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service, directly or indirectly, for any of the following purposes:

3.1 Storage Abuse

You agree not to rely on the Service for the purposes of content backup or storage.

  • Using the Service as a backup storage solution or file archiving system, including but not limited to uploading server exports, database dumps, device backups, exports from other cloud services, raw camera footage, photo libraries, media production archives, or bulk media dumps;
  • Using the Service for public or private file distribution to third parties;
  • Using the Service as a content delivery network (CDN), file hosting platform, or general-purpose object storage system.

3.2 Unauthorized Access & Circumvention

  • Scraping, crawling, or accessing the Service through automated means beyond the scope of Blue’s approved API and documented rate limits;
  • Circumventing storage limits, rate limits, plan-tier restrictions, or any other technical or contractual controls governing your subscription;
  • Probing, scanning, or testing the security or vulnerability of Blue’s systems, networks, or infrastructure without prior written authorization from Blue;
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code or underlying architecture of the Service;
  • Impersonating any person or entity, spoofing headers or identifiers, or engaging in phishing or social engineering directed at Blue’s users, employees, or support staff.

3.3 Competitive & Commercial Misuse

  • Using the Service, in whole or in part, to develop, train, or improve a product or service that competes with Blue;
  • Publishing benchmarks, performance analyses, or comparative studies of the Service without Blue’s prior written consent;
  • Reselling, sublicensing, or otherwise providing access to the Service to third parties outside the scope of your authorized subscription;
  • Creating multiple accounts or organizations to circumvent plan-tier limits, storage limits, or any enforcement action taken by Blue under this AUP or the Terms of Service.

3.4 Harmful & Unlawful Conduct

  • Harassing, threatening, stalking, or abusing any person in connection with use of the Service;
  • Sending spam, chain messages, or unauthorized commercial solicitations through or in connection with the Service;
  • Engaging in any denial-of-service attack, distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS), or any other act that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionate load on Blue’s infrastructure or that degrades Service availability for other customers;
  • Using the Service for any purpose that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.

4. Storage-Specific Rules

Storage limits applicable to your subscription are defined on Blue’s pricing page and are not reproduced in this AUP or the Terms of Service. Blue reserves the right to update storage limits and pricing by updating the pricing page without triggering a formal amendment to these documents.

Where a Customer’s storage usage is deemed by Blue to be excessive in relation to their plan tier or the intended use of the Service, Blue may, at its sole discretion, impose additional fees, require the Customer to upgrade to a higher-tier plan, or restrict further uploads until usage is reduced.

Files that have not been accessed for thirty (30) or more consecutive days may be migrated to cold storage. Blue provides no guarantee of retrieval speed for cold-stored files.

Accounts with files not attached to any record and with no process management activity (zero records, zero comments, zero workflow usage) may be classified as engaging in prohibited backup storage use.

Blue is not a backup service. You expressly agree that you will not rely on the Service for the purposes of content backup or storage, and that Blue has no obligation to preserve your Content beyond the terms expressly set forth in the Terms of Service.

5. Monitoring & Enforcement

Blue is not obligated to monitor Content stored or transmitted through the Service. However, Blue has the right — and expressly reserves the right — to access, review, and examine any Content stored on the Service, including file contents, metadata, and associated account activity, for the purposes of:

  • Operating, maintaining, and improving the Service;
  • Abuse detection;
  • Ensuring compliance with this AUP and the Terms of Service; and
  • Complying with applicable law, legal process, or governmental request.

Such review may be conducted through automated AI scanning systems, human review, or a combination of both, at any time and without prior notice to the account holder. AI systems are used to flag potential violations; all enforcement decisions are made by humans.

Blue’s exercise of its monitoring rights does not create any obligation to act, nor does it limit Blue’s enforcement discretion as described in Section 6 below.

6. Enforcement Actions

Violation of this AUP may result in any one or more of the following actions, at Blue’s sole discretion:

  • Issuance of a warning and request to remedy the violation;
  • Removal of the offending Content;
  • Temporary suspension of account access;
  • Permanent termination of the account; or
  • Reporting of the violation and associated account information to relevant law enforcement authorities.

No cure period is required prior to taking any enforcement action under this AUP. Blue shall have no liability to any Customer or User for enforcement actions taken in good faith pursuant to this AUP.

In cases involving pirated software, unlicensed copyrighted material, or content that is illegal under applicable law, Blue reserves the right to immediately suspend account access without warning, remove the offending Content, and proceed to terminate the account. Following removal of infringing Content, Blue will provide a limited export window of seven (7) days during which Customer may export non-infringing User Submissions using the Service’s standard export tools. Blue has no obligation to preserve, return, or allow export of any Content that Blue determines, in its sole discretion, to be infringing, unlawful, or otherwise in violation of this AUP, and such Content is excluded from the export window. For content constituting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or content that sexually exploits or depicts minors, the account will be terminated immediately without notice, without any export window, and the matter will be reported to NCMEC and relevant law enforcement authorities as set forth in Section 2.

Accounts that are under common ownership or control with a terminated account, or that were created for the purpose of circumventing a prior enforcement action, may also be subject to termination at Blue’s discretion.

7. License Integrity

Licenses to access and use the Service are issued for use solely within the purchasing Customer’s organization. Sharing, redistributing, reselling, transferring, or otherwise making licenses available to any person or entity outside of Customer’s organization is strictly prohibited.

This restriction does not apply to Users invited to access the Service through Blue’s standard invitation features (including external collaborators, clients, contractors, and guests), provided such access complies with Customer’s plan limits and is used in connection with Customer’s own business operations. A single license may not be used to support multiple, separate businesses, organizations, or commercial undertakings.

Where Blue determines, in its sole discretion, that a license has been shared, resold, or otherwise distributed in violation of this AUP or the Terms of Service, Blue may immediately suspend or terminate any and all licenses associated with the violation. Licenses may be considered “linked” to a violation on the basis of common ownership or control, shared payment method, shared billing email, IP address, device fingerprint, shared usage patterns, or any other reasonable basis as determined by Blue.

No refund will be issued for licenses suspended or terminated under this Section. Suspension or termination under this Section is in addition to, and not in lieu of, any other remedies available to Blue under the Terms of Service.

8. AI-Specific Restrictions

The following additional restrictions apply to Customer’s use of any AI-powered features made available through the Service:

  • You may not use Blue’s AI features to generate, store, or distribute any content that would otherwise violate this AUP;
  • You may not attempt prompt injection, jailbreaking, adversarial prompting, or any other technique designed to circumvent or subvert AI safety measures or usage policies implemented by Blue or its AI sub-processors;
  • You may not use AI features to generate content for the purpose of impersonating any person, organization, or brand in a manner likely to deceive or mislead others.

9. Appeals

Customers who believe an enforcement action was taken in error may submit an appeal by emailing [email protected] with a description of the account, the enforcement action taken, and the basis for the appeal.

All appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis by a human reviewer. Blue will respond to appeals within thirty (30) days of receipt and will provide a brief statement of the reasons for its decision. Blue’s determination on appeal is final.

Submission of an appeal does not automatically stay or reverse the enforcement action pending review.

9. Policy Updates

Changes to this Acceptable Use Policy are governed by Section 19 of our Terms of Service.
