Fields on Front of Cards
Configure which fields and custom fields appear on your board cards to show the most relevant information at a glance.
Overview
Board cards display key information about your records directly on the card surface, allowing you to scan through your work without opening each record. The Card Fields configuration lets you control exactly which fields appear on your cards and in what order.
By default, cards show essential fields like title, due date, assignees, and tags. You can customize this to include custom fields, time tracking, and other metadata that matters most to your workflow.

Field Visibility
Fields only appear on cards when they have data. For example:

commentCount > 0 - Checklist only shows when the record has checklist items
- Due Date only shows when a due date is set
- Tags only shows when tags are assigned
This keeps cards clean and focused on relevant information.
Use Cases
Sales Pipeline — Display deal value (Currency field), stage (Single Select), and close date on opportunity cards.
Bug Tracking — Show priority (Star Rating), severity (Single Select), and reporter on issue cards.
Content Calendar — Display publish date, content type, and author directly on content cards.
HR Onboarding — Show start date, department, and completion progress for onboarding tasks.
Tips
- Prioritize scannable data: Put the most important fields near the top
- Use custom fields wisely: Only add custom fields that help differentiate cards at a glance
- Consider card density: More fields mean taller cards — find the right balance for your workflow
- Combine with cover images: Use Cover Images alongside card fields for visual recognition
