Activity
Blue records all actions across all workspaces and records for compliance.
There are three levels of activity tracking:
- Organisational Activity - Logs everything happening across all workspaces company-wide.
- Workspace Activity - Logs actions within a specific workspace.
- Record Activity — Provides a granular changelog of the record.
Company and Workspace Activity
Activity delivers a complete audit trail of activities across the organization. It enables understanding of what is happening company-wide without constant status meetings.
Filtering
Activities can be filtered using the filter bar at the top of the activity view. The following filters are available:
Date allows you to specify a date range, displaying only activities that occurred within the chosen time period. You can select preset ranges or define a custom start and end date. This is useful for reviewing historical activities or analyzing progress within a specific timeframe.
User allows you to view activities related to one or more selected users. This filter displays activities associated with the selected user(s), including:
- Records created or modified by the user(s)
- Comments made by the user(s)
- Changes made to custom fields by the user(s)
- Any other modifications or updates made by the user(s)
By applying the User filter, you can quickly isolate and review the actions and changes made by specific individuals, making it easier to track their contributions.
Tag displays activities related to records that have been tagged with one or more specific tags. This filter is particularly useful when you want to focus on activities pertaining to specific categories or areas of interest.
Type allows you to filter activities by their category, such as Records, Lists, Comments, Chat, Custom Fields, Team Members, Invitations, Projects, or Forms. This is helpful when you want to focus on a specific kind of activity, for example seeing only new comments or only record creation events.
Activity filters are persisted per workspace, so your filter selections are remembered when you return to the activity view.
Activity Log
As an uneditable log, activity provides a reliable record of all user actions. It facilitates awareness and transparency between all teams and workspaces. Activities are displayed in a table format with the user, activity description, and timestamp. Clicking on an activity linked to a record will navigate directly to that record.
