Themes & Dark Mode

Switch between light, dark, and auto-follow-system themes from your account settings.

Blue ships with light and dark themes. You can pin one or let the app follow your operating system’s theme so the interface flips automatically alongside everything else on your machine.

Choosing a theme

  1. Open your Account Settings from the avatar menu in the top bar.
  2. Find the Theme section.
  3. Pick one of:
    • Light — always light, regardless of system setting.
    • Dark — always dark, regardless of system setting.
    • Auto — match your operating system. Switches automatically when your OS does.

Your choice is saved per-device against your account, so each browser or app you log into can have its own preference if you want.

Keyboard shortcut

Toggle dark mode from anywhere with ⌘ + ⇧ + D (Mac) or Ctrl + ⇧ + D (Windows / Linux). See the keyboard shortcuts reference for the full set.

Mobile apps

The iOS and Android apps respect the same theme choice and also support Auto, following the system-wide setting on your phone.
